The CT legislature just passed the Uniform Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets Act or HB 5606 and it should be signed into law soon.
Essentially, it gives your executor, Attorney by Power, Trustee, or conservator the power to control your digital assets in addition to your physical assets.
They have the same rights you would have had. In the past it was difficult to get digital providers to allow the fiduciary to change or control the account. I know I have a couple of friends who have passed away and still have a Linked in or Facebook account.
So there you have it, CT is a progressive state.
